I cannot stand this scene. I would probably like Arthur and Gwen together if they gave them some actual love, you know, like, an actual story? Don’t just have them kiss and make up, have them fight and have them cry and then have them slowly reunite. Until then I can’t ship anything other than Merthur, Gwencelot, and Morgwen.

while I really love this scene (because it’s not really “making up”, even Arthur dismisses it later as a “moment of weakness”), I must agree on the way their story ended in s4. yeah, I’m an Arwen shipper and yes, I am thrilled that they are married, but I still feel a little bit disappointed, a little bit cheated out of an actual development of their relationship. sure, one can be an idealist and say that their love is so strong it managed to put aside Gwen’s “betrayal”, but it looks like a poor way of tying loose ends to me, a bit like “oh right, these two are supposed to end up together so let’s just have them be all fairy-tale-like and idealistic, turn a blind eye on reality and pretend no hardships ever happened”. yeah, right. hell of a way to build a healthy relationship - when it gets tough, close your eyes and hum a happy tune until it goes away. *rolls eyes*

remember Arthur’s “I love Gwen with all my heart and someday I will find it in me to forgive her, but I will never trust her again”? when there was no slow reconciliation, some proving of love or something, I at least expected for the enchantment to be revealed. now I can only hope s5 will give us a bit more depth (maybe a follow up on that statement of Arthurs), some suspicion on his side, a bit of drama and crying and fighting. though I doubt that will happen - Arwen is after all a secondary story and, don’t get me wrong, while I adore Merthur bromance, I wish other relationships were as well done…

I actually have no problem with that, because it makes it all the more special when Arthur insists on calling her Guinevere <3

The adorable Arwen, pre-marriage. When they come back they won’t be as innocent. Then this will be everyday life for them. Because Arthur and Guinevere are married now. I just love writing that. They are MARRIED!!!
